Us in and iWorld

Our society is filled with "iDevices." The "i" in iPhones, iPads, iPods and the like is "individual." These devices provide some great tools for communication, organization and entertainment, but they also bring a measure of isolation and individualism that often leaves people empty and longing for real relationships. God designed us to be together. His plan is "us" not "i." One of the most beautiful display of what this looks like in real life is the story of Ruth. This an incredible woman that God chose to be a vital part of the royal line that led to her great grandson David and eventually to the birth of Jesus. She was a foreigner headed to a strange land but her heart was with her mother in law. She boldly said... “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God." Ruth 1:16. This is God's call for all of us as well, to be His people. We are to Walk Together in the power of the Holy spirit to Follow Jesus Christ as a family. Join us for the next seven weeks as we explore this incredible story and learn more about what it means to live as "us" in an "iWorld."

Set Your Mind on the Spirit

The key to spiritual growth and victory in our lives is to allow the Holy Spirit to transform our thinking. But how do you do that? Our minds are continually in action with thoughts running back and forth. God’s Word instructs us to take every thought captive and to make it obedient to Christ. Applying His Word to our thoughts breaks down strongholds in our minds. Thoughts of insecurity, fear, anger, lust, inferiority and many others are all based upon lies. When we encounter the lies with the Truth of God and ask God to change our thinking, the stronghold begins to fall. In preparation for Sunday, ask the Lord to begin revealing the mental strongholds in your life that He wants to remove so that the mind of Christ controls your thinking.

Listening to God's Voice

Drew Stephens will be exploring John 10:1-16 Do you believe God wants to speak to you? The Scripture is filled with God speaking to us. But are we listening? That is the real question. To follow Jesus we must stay connected to Him. And to stay connected we must learn to listen not just with our minds but ultimately with our hearts to what God is saying. We live world where so many voices complete for our ear. Think about the number of messages you hear in a given day. There is a lot of noise in our world. But what is amazing is that even in the most crowded room I can hear the voice of my wife or my children above the other sounds. Why? Because I know them. The resonance of their voice penetrates the noise because my ear recognizes who is speaking. As we get to know God we can hear His voice over the other noises that compete for our attention. But to hear Him we must know Him.

The Normal Christian Life

Drew Stephens will be speaking on Micah 6:1-8 What image do you hold in your mind when you think about Following Jesus? Is it spiritual birth? Going to Church? Sinning less than you used to? All of those may be components but what is God's expectation and invitation to us when He calls us to follow Jesus? This week we will explore the scripture to see what a "normal follower of Jesus"

An Intentional Journey

Each New Year millions of people make New Years Resolutions. 1 out of 100 will keep them. For most it is simply a wish list not an Intentional journey of transformation. Many go through life staying in the stands waiting for something good to come their way. But life is not a Spectator sport. God calls us to willingly yield control of our life to Him and to intentionally seek Him with all our heart. So what about you? Do have a wish list, or do you want to begin a new life today? Do you want to see real transformation happen in your life? Today we are going to examine the ONE THING that will really bring about change for you and for me, immersing ourselves in God’s Word – that is the foundation for Intentional Living. His Word gives us the resource to really change.

Loving Others

To follow Jesus we must Love God, Live Truth, Give Grace and walk together in the Spirit. Loving God according to Jesus however is proven by our love for our neighbor. The Second great commandment to love our neighbor as ourselves. Why does God command us to love? All of God’s commandments are for our good and our joy. Jesus came to give life and it more abundantly. Loving God, loving

Sharing The Living Water

Drew Stephens will be speaking on John 4:1-42 What does it really mean to be a witness for Jesus? Is it complicated? Do I need to have special training? When Jesus encounters the Woman at the Well in John 4, we see how He shared Himself with her. And then this same woman shares Jesus with others and many come to believe in Jesus as the Messiah. This week we will explore this amazing
