Red Letter Verbs - Be One!

Have you ever considered how remarkable it is the Jesus prays for us to be unified as one just before He was betrayed and began to suffer for our sins? Facing the greatest trial, Jesus was passionate about us loving each other as God the Father loves the Son. He prayed that we would be so united that our relationships would be a reflection of the relationship between God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. This week we will celebrate Communion together and explore what it means to be one and the promise that when we live as one, the world will believe that God the Father sent Jesus and that He is Savior and Lord. There is a direct connection between the unity of the body of Christ and the fulfillment of the Great Commission to take the good news to all peoples. John 17:20-21 20 "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

Red Letter Verbs - Believe

What does it really mean to "believe" in Jesus? Over 40 times in the Gospel of John Jesus tells us to "believe." It is much more than what we think. Faith is the key to overcoming sin in our lives and defeating fear and anxiety. When we live the promises of God transformation happens. Below is a listing of some of the promises of God in His Word. The Keys to the Kingdom

Luke 6:27-36 What would happen if we really lived like Jesus is King? Would your values change? Would your priorities be altered? Jesus constantly reminded His disciples that the Kingdom of God is at hand and that we are to live as citizens under His reign and rule. This week we will explore the Kingdom Code - "as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them."
