Thirst
Spiritual Roadwork
To seek the Lord we must be prepared. Isaiah is a great passage that points both to the work of John the Baptist preparing the way for Jesus ministry and for the work of the Holy Spirit in preparing us to see the greatness and beauty of God. The truth is we all need some construction work, but the end result of seeing God in all His wonder is well worth it.
Seeking the Lord
What does is mean to seek the Lord's face? How are we to enter into His presence. In Psalm 27, David reveals the joy of dwelling in God's presence, gazing upon His beauty and know Him intimately so we can make Him known to others. Seeking God is the greatest pursuit in life. It is what we were made for.
A Glimpse of Glory
God invites you to seek His face. He wants you and I to intimately know Jesus.
Aiming At The Right Target
The Vision of Isaiah changed him. He saw God for who he really is and the direction of his life was transformed. In the process he was undone. We may need to be undone as well in order to experience the full wonder of who God is. Isaiah 6:1-7 6:1In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." 4At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke. 5"Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty." 6Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7With it he touched my mouth and said, "See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for."
